About the Chichester Bowmen

Chichester Bowmen is a target archery club, one of the largest in Sussex. We were founded in 1955 and have always been based in Oaklands Park, Chichester, where we have one of the few permanent archery ranges in the county.

Our members shoot all three major bow types and include men and, women of all ages and abilities, we also have a number of junior members (although we do not normally take juniors under the age of 8).

The Club participates in local and national competitions and has members in the Sussex County team. Not all members take part in competitions; however, many are ‘social’ archers who just shoot for pleasure.
